When and where does the festival take place?
The 2025 Black Arts Fest MKE will be held on Saturday, August 2nd from 12 PM to 10 PM at Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds), located at 200 North Harbor Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
How much are tickets?
We’ve made it easier than ever to attend with a variety of pricing options:
Early Bird Sale: $20 (available through June 19, 2025)
General Admission: $30
Seniors (65+): $20
Youth (ages 7-17): $15
Children (6 and under) & Veterans: Free
Group Discount: 10% off for qualifying purchases
Vendor Booth: Use access key VENDOR25 to unlock the vendor booth ticket options
Are there bag checks or metal detectors?
Yes. All bags are subject to search prior to entry. All guests, including children, must pass through the metal detectors to access the festival grounds. Please note: no outside food or beverages are permitted and weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited, even with a permit.
Are wheelchairs and strollers available?
Yes. Wheelchairs and strollers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The rental station is located just inside the mid gate. A valid picture ID is required to complete the rental.
If I become separated from my child, what do I do?
Immediately notify a Summerfest security guard, a member of the Milwaukee Police Department, or visit the Northwestern Mutual Kid’s Center for assistance. All lost children will be safely cared for and processed through the Northwestern Mutual Kid’s Center.
Can I bring my service animal?
Yes. Only eligible service animals are permitted. They must be clearly identified with a vest, remain on a leash at all times, and the owner must be prepared to show documentation verifying the animal’s service status. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their service animal.
Can I bring a personal lawn chair, skateboard, wear skates, or bring a wagon?
No. These items are not permitted on festival grounds.
If it rains, are refunds available?
Black Arts Fest MKE is a rain-or-shine event. Refunds will not be issued due to weather conditions.
